Today i started on my foundation questions. I might need a little help getting started, sooooo yea. But im moving slowly but surely.

• No program is the same, they’re all different. They have different effects, you can do different stuff, and some are easier to use

• That you can get helpful tutorials on how to do things you don’t know how to do or help you better understand your program

• That video editing has a variety of programs available for use such as… AAE, Sony Vegas, Final Cut

• Plug-in: Plug-ins are used to enable third-party developers to create capabilities to extend an application
• Blending Mode: These modes help blend different layers to make them look better. Some modes are, Luminosity, Overlay, Multiply, and Darken. Very commonly used.
• Mask: Pretty much selecting a specific area that you want to change without changing the whole
• Split: Splitting a clip allows you to cut the clip up any way you want. Giving you the ability to control where it starts, ends, or delete a certain part
• Time Remapping: Time Remapping allows you to expand, compress, freeze, or even play footage backwards
• 3D Layers: When you make a layer a 3D Layer, it remains flat. But when you do it gains other properties such as the X, Y, and Z Axis. And you will be able to move them anywhere you want in 3D space
• Render: to finalize and convert raw video footage into a common video format. .mov, .wmv, .avi
• Import: To bring any type of media into your editing program
• Composition: the plan, placement or arrangement of the elements of art in a work
• Timeline: A timeline is a graphical depiction of audio and video tracks. Much of the editing that takes place is done within this graphical timeline
• Keyframe: defines the starting and ending points of any smooth transition
